Friday , May 15, 2026 (Baidoa Online) -The Federal Government of Somalia has announced that the dialogue between the government and opposition groups has collapsed.
In its statement, the government said that the country will proceed toward holding one-person-one-vote elections, despite the breakdown of the negotiations.
The announcement comes amid ongoing political tensions over the electoral process and the broader framework for Somalia’s democratic transition.
