Wednesday , May 27, 2026 (Baidoa Online) -The President of the Jubaland State, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, today joined senior government officials and hundreds of residents in performing the Eid al-Adha prayers at the Presidential Palace in Kismayo.

The President was among the worshippers who took part in the congregational prayer, alongside government officials, religious scholars, and members of the public. The occasion highlighted the close interaction between the leadership and the community during the blessed Eid al-Adha celebrations.

Following the prayers, President Ahmed Mohamed Islam extended Eid greetings to the Somali people, particularly the residents of Jubaland. He prayed for acceptance of their acts of worship and asked Allah to grant peace, prosperity, and stability to the country.

He also urged citizens to strengthen unity, cooperation, and support for state-building efforts, emphasizing the importance of working together for peace and development.

Eid al-Adha celebrations were widely observed in Kismayo, with security measures significantly strengthened across the city during the prayers and festivities.
