Garaad Jaamac Garaad Cali has warned that recent meetings between Somali political leaders have ended without meaningful results, raising concerns over the country’s political stability and national cohesion.

Speaking on the ongoing political tensions, the traditional leader stated that “statehood is founded on a social agreement,” adding that the existing political consensus is now under serious threat.

He also criticized Hawiye clan leaders for what he described as a lack of urgency in resolving the country’s political crisis. Garaad Jaamac said his side had shown restraint and respect because the discussions were taking place in Mogadishu, the nation’s capital, which he referred to as the Hawiye community’s political stronghold.

However, he emphasized that they would no longer remain passive observers, declaring that they are now prepared to take a direct role in addressing the situation.
