Thursday, June 4, 2026 (Baidoa Online) -In Mogadishu: Heavy clashes continue for 15 hours near former PM Khaire’s residence
The fighting has intensified and is continuing in the same area where it began 15 hours ago, near the residence of former Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire.
The clashes follow an opposition call for demonstrations on 4 June 2026 against the Somali president. Opposition groups regrouped and moved to several locations across the capital, while government forces moved to contain the gatherings. As a result, heavy fighting erupted on Wednesday afternoon and has continued into the night.
