Friday, May 29, 2026 (Baidoa Online) -The President of Somalia’s Jubaland State, Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Madobe), has visited Darawish forces stationed in the Jana Cabdalle area of Lower Juba region, where he commended their role in maintaining security and defending the state.

During the visit, President Madobe praised the troops for what he described as their continued efforts in safeguarding stability in Jubaland, particularly in areas affected by insecurity. He encouraged the forces to maintain readiness and strengthen their operational preparedness.

He also announced that new military operations targeting Al-Shabaab militants are expected to be launched soon, urging security forces to remain alert and fully prepared for upcoming assignments.

The visit comes as Jubaland authorities continue efforts to consolidate control in strategic areas of Lower Juba, where government forces and allied units have been conducting intermittent counter-insurgency operations.
