Thursday, June 11, 2026 (Baidoa Online) -A young local council candidate, Suleyban Ahmed Guudle, was shot dead by armed assailants in Afgooye district tonight, according to family members who confirmed the incident.
Witnesses and relatives say the attackers opened fire on Guudle before quickly fleeing the scene. He was reportedly targeted while preparing to contest a seat in the upcoming local council elections.
