Saturday, 6 June (Baidoa Online) -Opposition figures in Mogadishu have accused Somalia’s Federal Government (FGS) of targeting a former Chief of the Somali National Army, as well as private businesses and residential properties in the capital.

The opposition said the reported actions are affecting individuals who previously held senior government positions, as well as civilians’ privately owned assets. They described the developments as raising both political and security concerns in the city.

In response, the Federal Government of Somalia stated that ongoing security operations are focused on recovering weapons allegedly hidden in the Cabdicasiis district of Mogadishu. Authorities said the operations are part of broader efforts to maintain security in the capital and prevent potential threats.
